I drew this original map using Pentel Energel 0.3 mm gel pens on 22×30 inch Arnhem 1618 cotton paper. It took roughly 100 hours of work from start to finish.
My original design is replete with historical, cultural, and mythological references in their appropriate regions, as well as some references to the 16th-century Carta Marina, drawn by Swedish clergyman Olaus Magnus. See if you can spot both rocket launch sites on this map, or unravel the mystery of the runic text on either side.
